You may become a member of The Arts Society at any time during the year. If you join after the end of July the fee will be reduced to £30.00. Membership renewals are due by 1st November for the following calendar year. A payment reminder is sent together with a copy of the planned programme of lectures. Lectures are held ten times a year on the third Thursday of the month, with identical sessions in the morning and the afternoon. Lectures are held at The Henley Rugby Club, Marlow Road, Henley-on-Thames, RG9 2JA, where free parking is available on the field adjacent to the Club. The Rugby Club is closed to other members of the public on the lecture day, with the talks held in the larger room. There is the Menza Café at The Henley Rugby Club where Arts Society members may have light refreshments or lunch.
The morning talk is simultaneously transmitted online for those who wish to watch at home. This will be via a YouTube link which is very easy to use - just a click on the link. The link is sent to members the day before the talk. We have permission from the lecturers to stream the morning session, but we are not in a position to stream it a second time in the afternoon, nor are we allowed to record any of the talks. Thus, if you are unable to come to The Rugby Club, but want to watch the lecture, please remember that this is only available in the morning at 10.45am. There is the option to ask questions which will be answered at the end.
